Angular Apps for AI Agents: WebMCP in Practice
AI agents typically interact with web applications by analyzing the DOM and trying to infer available actions from the user interface. While this works, it can be challenging for agents to actuate the UI.
Angular 22 introduces experimental support for WebMCP, a new standard that allows applications to expose business capabilities directly as structured tools that AI agents can understand and execute.
In this talk, we'll explore how WebMCP integrates with Angular's Dependency Injection system and how tools can be exposed at different levels of an Angular application, from application-wide capabilities and route-scoped tools to services and Signal Forms.
By the end of the session, you'll understand how WebMCP works in Angular, how to expose existing functionality as AI tools, and where it fits into modern Angular application architecture.
